Since he could never find his treasure after he buried it, a forgetful
pirate decided to leave it in plain view. To protect it, he dug a
square, 6 foot wide moat around it and filled it with crocodiles,
as shown below.
Using only two 5 foot long planks, how do you steal the pirate's treasure?

Place one plank diagonally across one corner, and the other from the center of the first plank to the island, as shown in the drawing below.
